Nursery contributed plant descriptions

8-14" spiked clusters of up to 40 pinkish-red ball-like buds open to white edged pink butterfly-like blooms, then fade to a deeper rose pink. A rare selection of the ever popular Pride of Barbados. This large growing shrubby perennial makes a fantastic show throughout summer. Give it plenty of room and a rich fertile soil. Note: Caesalpinias have a tendency to drop their foliage during shipment. So long as they are provided with light and appropriate moisture upon receipt they should recover and begin to grow fairly quickly.
