Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A vigorous and extremely free-flowering native Indian Blanket that produces a nearly non-stop show of 3-4" daisies ranging in color from deep mahagony, through orange, and often tipped in a band of golden yellow. Flowers can be born from spring to frost and nearly year round in mild climates! These are heat and humidity tolerant native perennials. Somewhat drought tolerant once well-established and need good winter drainage and a moderately fertile soil. Item# 9353. Gaillardias are heat loving & drought tolerant North American natives and hybrids that need good drainage for the best performance. Indian Blanket's drought tolerance and amicable nature make it a good choice for sunny gardens and containers. Debudding at transplanting time will help to ensure good establishment of the tough perennial.
