Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This new coneflower gets so excited (us, too!) about its 1st set of bright magenta petals that it sends out another tier at the top of its spiky cone; 40" stems (there may be some single decker flowers at first). S/M
Zn 3. Tall green plant with large magenta daisy.
Another one for the weird and wonderful category! This coneflower sports a second tier of petals which erupts from the tip of the cone. Sometimes you might have to wait until your plant is established in its second year to get the extra petals. Guaranteed to make every visitor in your garden do a double take! Plant in full sun in average (not overly rich), well-drained soils. Avoid soils that are overly moist in winter.
Skewered flowers one atop the other, it does have a certain weird appeal. ZONE 4
A superb butterfly nectar plant! A double row of pinkish-purple petals on daisy-like blooms with dark centers are born mid-summer to fall. The flowers are held on sturdy stems that are 2-3'H.
