Angelica lucida is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial with green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Features glossy texture. Attracts bees, beneficial insects and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in average, gritty, rich, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something seaside / salt tolerant and wind tolerant.

Seacoast Angelica is a perennial that growing from 2- 4 1/2". The globe-shaped flower umbels and the height make Angelicas a striking border plant. The seed heads may be dried for use in dried arrangements. It will do best with partial to full shade in an inland garden. The large flowers are seen in the late spring through mid summer. Native to California and is also on the east and west coasts of North America, and parts of East Asia It is included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 4.2 (limited distribution). Nectar attracts bees. This plant was a food source and considered to have important medicinal properties by the Aleut, Eskimo and Kwakiutl peoples. Found in grows on bluffs, beaches, streams near coast, infrequently inland. Communitites located in Coastal Prairie, Coastal Strand, Wetland-riparian Between 0 and 164 feet.
