Jack-in-the-pulpit a bit different; out of a narrow spathe with dark red interior protrudes a 10"(!) long yellow-green spadix (tongue). Doesn't go summer dormant but blooms until frost! Compared to the green plain form, this selection doesn't seed around and the opening of the "pulpit" is broader, showing off the red interior even more. Needs well drained soil.
A smaller version of tripartita with the "pulpit" deep purple inside. Cute.
