Nursery contributed plant descriptions

For those of you not keen on variegation here is a hosta designed for you. 'Irish Luck' is a vigourous grower with incredibly glossy, dark green leaves with pie crust rippled margins, deep veining and good substance. Due to the H. plantaginea parentage, 'Irish Luck' exhibits some sun tolerance and produces sweetly fragrant, lavender flowers. Who needs variegation?
I feel strongly that green hostas are far too often overlooked. I find myself drawn to them more and more and 'Irish Luck' has quickly become one of my favorites. I first saw this one while we were vending at the 2012 AHS national convention in Milwaukee. There was a large plant donated to the auction and I saw it early in the day in the vending room. Bright green heavily rippled leaves are highly glossed and look like they're always wet. The clump has a beautifully upright habit. Flowers are fragrant, large, pale lavender, and held on sturdy stems. Pretty much everything I look for in a Hosta, including a good growth rate!
Thick, incredibly glossy, dark green leaves with pie crust rippled margins; Vigorous grower. Fragrant lavender flowers in late summer. Plant in partial sun to full shade. Medium size hosta.
