Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A Cistus introduction. We at Cistus have been tinkering with the western native mock oranges for some time. This offering, representing our cross of Choisya arizonica 'Whetstone' and C. 'Aztec Pearl,' is an exceedingly graceful plant, to about 3' tall, with 1" feathery leaves adorning blue-gray stems. Nickel sized flowers appear in early spring then occasionally throughout the year. Though plants have succeeded in heavy soil, we recommend a lighter mix. Best in sun or medium shade with a bit of summer water where dry. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
