Hosta 'Fire and Ice' is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green, variegated and white foliage. In summer lavender flowers emerge. Grows well with bright shade - shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in average, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something humidity tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Stand out hosta!! What it lacks in size it makes up for in looks – upright shape with slightly twisting leaves filled in glowing white with sharply contrasting deep green irregular edges! Place this one front and center at 15” high and 28” wide so it can be admired and appreciated. Lavender flowers in June and July. Shade to part shade, most soils, some summer water. Hot stuff meets the snow queen! Z3

The leaves have a slight twist with pure white centers and dark green edging. Lavender flowers appear in midsummer. It prefers light shade with a couple of hours of morning sunlight.
Patriot reversed, this is one of the showiest Hostas we grow, much preferable to Patriot.
Fire and Ice has broad slightly twisted leaves with a large variegated patch at their centers. Variegation is creamy yellow as it emerges (see above) but eventually becomes a clear white patch with a thin green edge. A large grower with lavender flowers.
