Polygonatum 'Fireworks' is a rare selection of Solomon's seal with white margins and yellow striped leaves held by red stems dangling pendulous, fragrant, white flowers in spring. A stunning site in the shade garden.
Gratifyingly vigorous, traveling by rhizomes, this Polygonatum can be used successfully as a tall ground cover given a decent facsimile of woodland soil. Ovate leaves alternating their way up red stems are etched in white! Small white bell flowers dangle the length of these two-foot stems in spring. This one prefers a little sun to be robust. A Japanese selection. Ships when dormant. Minimum temperature: -30?F
This rare selection of Solomon's Seal is a stunning addition to any shade garden. Found in Japan, this form has bright creamy streaks and splashes down the length of its leaves. The red stems contrast nicely with the bright leaves. Small white bell flowers appear in Spring. Grows 2 feet high and spreads out overtime forming a colony. Shade to part shade.
