Reaching a height of 4 - 6' over time, this textural evergreen shrub has a beautiful silvery appearance resulting from the white stems and leaf undersides. The top surfaces of the leaves are green but they are so tiny that one hardly notices. Although we think of this mostly as a foliage plant its attractive clusters of pink buds are also cool, though they open to not-that-exciting little white flowers. Vaguely resembling a desert shrub from the interior West, it incorporates equally well with either a desert-themed garden or with other Southern Hemisphere plants, and it does great in containers as well.
