Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Expanding clump of beautiful foliage 2-3’ tall and 3-4’wide; upright, softly arching stems are heavily cloaked in green leaves generously marked with irregular splotches and stripes of cream and frequently pink. Slim flower wands are insignificant, but remove to avoid seedlings if not wanted. Average soil with consistent moisture, sun to moderate shade. May be thuggish in rich soils with lots of water. Nice, colorful filler for woodland edge.
A native of Japan, and bearing a close resemblance to Tovara, with stable, attractive, creamy white variegation, you'll have a 24" clump in no time. Interesting small flowers in red or white form along its slender wiry stems that reach up another 12" above this 16"-24" plant.
Also known as Persicaria. Green, white and some pink variegation on leaves. Red flowers in late summer or fall.

A plant of considerable beauty (GS Thomas) whose broad (2-3' tall) leaves are splashed, striped, & marbled with ivory-yellow; a slowly spreading clumping groundcover, nice with Zebra Grass! Sun-PSh/Med not dry
