    Persicaria virginiana 'Brushstrokes' is a fast-growing broadleaf deciduous perennial with black and chartreuse foliage. In fall and summer red flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and even moisture - regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.

Perennial, dying back each winter. Enjoys average soil in sun to part shade with some summer water. Frost hardy to -10F, USDA zone 6. Said to be deer resistant.
