Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Caryopteris 'Hint of Gold', also known as 'Lisaura', is a selection of Blue Mist Shrub hybridized by Peter Catt of the UK. It has striking deep blue late summer flowers which butterflies adore (and the deer don't!), but it is also remarkable for its aromatic vivid lime yellow foliage. Grows to just 2-3' tall and wide, and loves a sunny spot in well drained soil.
Award winning shrubby perennial, compact, upright stems 3’ high and as wide (or a little wider). Leaves emerge bright yellow and mellow to a pleasing chartreuse, a perfect background for the lavender blue blooms in summer and fall. Full sun, most soils, deer and critter resistant, little water. Cut back hard in spring before new growth starts.
Multiple award-winning, this celebrated compact shrub offers heat and drought-resistant foliage of glossy gold-edged with lime which won't green out! Late summer violet-blue flowers make a striking combo. S-PSh/Med USPPAF
