From Great Britain, this variety of the deservedly popular blue-mist shrub contrasts its late summer blue flower-spikes with bright yellow to chartreuse leaves. S/M/GDr
Shrubby perennial 3'h x 4'w with bright chartreuse, fragrant foliage – late summer flowers are bright blue and shout against their burnished backdrop! Flowers attract butterflies at the end of the season. Easy to grow in a sunny to lightly shaded position on moderately fertile, draining soils with some summer moisture. Flowers on new growth so cut back hard each spring. Some drought resistance and deer don't like it!
A great form of Caryopteris with decidedly golden foliage. Same great butterfly magnate, long-blooming, easy. Pleasant scent. Blooms late in the summer with very few shrubs are in flower.
