Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This glowing, luminous shrub provides a brilliant pop of color to the landscape. The foliage emerges a rich apricot color before maturing to soft gold; the new and old leaves together create a beautiful color combination. This low growing 2' tall by 4' wide shrub is decorated in summer with rose-colored flowers. The foliage makes a colorful display again in fall when its leaves turn fiery-red. This cultivar looks great planted in front of dark leaved specimens. S/M
The new growth is a rich red-orange, deeper than that of its parent, 'Goldflame'. In summer, the foliage loses its vibrancy but does not produce all-green reversions. Fall color is often a fiery red. The pink flowers produced in early summer play second fiddle to the foliage display. Bushy habit.
