Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This delightful little hosta is very different and quite eye-catching! The shiny, narrow, upright leaves of this rarely seen 6" mounder are twisted and turned and look a bit like plantain leaves. Masses of lovely pale-lavender blooms appear in late-summer into fall. This charming perennial will slowly spread to about 18" wide; it is the perfect choice for ground cover, accent, container, or rockery. PSh/M
Narrow twisted dark green leaves. Mini.
6" tall. Dark green with a flat, hairline lighter green margin; slightly shiny on top, very shiny underneath; moderately twisted, lance shaped leaves with a tapered base. Light lavender striped flowers. Can be a difficult hosta to keep over the winter. We cover ours with an aquarium, not so much for protection from the cold, but to keep the crown dry. Ours has survived a number of years and increased in both the height of the clump and the number of divisions.
