Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Lush, shiny green foliage; lovely, very fragrant, double white flowers in late summer. Plant in full sun & lots of water for best bloom results but blooms well enough in light shade. Large hosta.
There's not much fancy variegation going on with species plantaginea. Instead you get light green, glossy, beautifully ribbed leaves and spectacular, large, extremely fragrant white flowers in summer. This one plant alone could bathe your entire shade garden in fragrance. 'Aphrodite' has large, impressive double flowers. The foliage of plantagineas is thinner than many other hostas. Plant in shade away from heat and drying winds.
A beautiful hose in hose double form of H. plantaginea grandiflora it is perhaps the most lovely of all the Hostas in terms of flowers.
A winter dormant, clumping perennial. In summer tall spikes of double, white, exquisitely perfumed, trumpet flowers rise above the large, heart shaped, glossy green, prominently veined leaves. Provide with light shade, moisture, food and plenty of organic matter. Protect from slugs and snails. Can break dormancy as late as December. The only double flowered hosta.
