Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This delicious and hardy form of English walnut is prized for its abundant crop of large, thin-shelled, easy to crack, and wonderfully-buttery nuts. This late-blooming walnut is a low-maintenance, reliable producer of good crops for the home orchard. Although partially self-fertile yields will be much higher when planted with Manregion, Carpathian, or a Black Walnut Seedling for cross-pollination. Requires 600-700 chill hours. S/M
Traditional English Walnut; very flavorful; medium sized
Large, thin shelled, sweet nuts, easy to crack, somewhat self-fruitful, better with pollinator Zones 6-9
