Nursery contributed plant descriptions

An English walnut from France! Excellent quality late-season walnuts with delectable flavor and a thin shell. This superior, strong growing tree was developed in France; it breaks dormancy later than others and so misses late-frosts. These are partially self-fertile, although yields can be larger with a pollinizer (such as Manregion or Chandler). Begins bearing at 3-5 years and shows resistance to blight and codling moth. Makes a fine shade tree! Requires 700 chill hours. S/M
