This cultivar is perfect for Northern gardeners! A fantastic shrub which flowers on old and new wood, so if late-frosts nip the older buds you will still get a nice crop of flower clusters! Blooming heavily over a long period on a pretty 3' tall by 5' wide shrub with large deep-green foliage. This compact and prolific mophead offers huge, round clusters of light blue to pink flowers (depending on soil pH) from midsummer through fall. Not to be missed! S-PSh/M
All Summer Beauty hydrangea is a big leaf mophead hydrangea that can't be beat for blooms. It blooms on old and new wood, unlike some other cultivars. The blooms can be pink and blue in neutral soil or a rich blue in acid soil. Great for cut arrangements. All Summer Beauty hydrangea is a great border plant because it blooms profusely.
All Summer Beauty Hydrangea is a Macrophylla Mophead type and is reblooming, meaning that it produces flower buds on both previous and current year's growth. Most Macrophylla type Hydrangeas will bloom only on old wood and so have a single flowering season, but All Summer Beauty blooms continuously throughout the summer. The ability to flower off of new wood also means that it can be pruned harder and more formally and will also continue to produce flowers even after late spring frosts.
All Summer Beauty has a tendency towards blue colored flowers and produces bright blue blooms in acid soil, with a pH of 6 or less. In neutral or basic soil, the flowers will be either purple or dark pink. You can change the pH of your soil quite easily. If you want a pinker variety, add some ground lime (available at any garden center, nursery, even big box stores) or add either coffee grounds or Aluminum Sulfate (also available anywhere that sells plants) to make your flowers blue.

Success is guaranteed. Summer and fall, this beautiful hardy plant blooms pink to lavender in neutral soils and a vivid blue in acid soil. Grown best in light shade, this unique macrophylla blooms on new wood and has been around for decades. This is possibly a renamed European import and almost identical to Endless Summer™.
All Summer Beauty is right! The large rounded clusters of pink, blue, or even purple flowers are born in spring as well as all summer as this Hydrangea produces flowers on new wood as well as old. Compact growth habit. Hydrangeas are easy to grow deciduous shrubs that prefer partly shaded areas of the garden with a rich, moist but not wet, soil. All Summer Beauty's flower color is dependent on soil pH: acid is blue, alkaline is pink, neutral is purple. Prune immediately after blooming. Provide midday and afternoon shade in hot southern climates.
Like most hydrangeas, it's bloom color is pH dependant - bluish in acid soil and pink in neutral or limey but the great thing about this lovely new introduction is told in it's name -- it starts blooming in June and is free-flowering all summer long! This prolific bloomer is just smothered in large, round flowers all summer. because it blooms on both old wood and new wood. Pink and blue colors in neutral soil and a very rich blue in acidic soil
