Chrysanthemum from Hannah is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In fall cream, pink and white flowers emerge. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.
This very old fashioned perennial mum was shared with us by a customer, Hannah Lloyd, who said it persisted in her grandmother's garden years ago. We haven't come across it on any perennial lists, and can't verify it's cultivar name, but it is a total charmer. Creamy white double 1.5" flowers resemble China Asters, and begin blooming in September. Flowers take on a rosy cast as they fade. Like all mums, pinch back to 4-6" in early summer to promote shorter stems and more flowers. Grows to 18-24" if pinched back, otherwise it can be a more blousy 3' or so.
