This is the LARGEST Hosta of legend! Massive clumps of upright, thick, dark green leaves can reach 3' tall in clumps twice as wide. Flower stems above foliage 4-5' tall with pale red violet summer flowers. Bring in the dinosaurs! A really fun 'Feed me
One of the largest hostas known, 'Empress Wu' is a fast-growing green beast! Leaves can be up to 18" long and wide and the entire clump will reach about 4 feet tall and I'm guessing nearly 8 feet wide. I find it to have a fairly good growth rate, unlike many extra-large hostas. Mid-summer flowers are lavender and in good proportion to the mound of foliage. A Proven Winners? perennial.
Enormous hosta that makes a semi-upright mound of thick, dark green leaves with deeply impressed veins; Can eventually reach 4 1/2 feet tall. Pale lavender flowers in mid summer. Plant in partial sun to full shade. Huge hosta
Word is spreading that this is the largest growing Hosta in commerce, with dark green leaves ultimately reaching 3' across. It may take awhile but this baby is going to cover some territory, at least 4' tall, and developig a spread of 6' or more. This patented (PP20774) queen really wants to be famous: she has her own website!
