A hardy delight for gardens of any size! It may be petite at 5ft x 5ft, but is also generous with lime green summer blossoms which mature into deep, burgundy-pink hues as fall approaches. Its vigorous stems resist drooping, and are ideal for fresh or dried cut flowers. PP22330
A smaller version of the well-known 'Limelight’ at 3-5' high and wide with a sturdy, compact habit. Large, non-flop flowers emerge a soft greenish white in summer, slowly burnishing to antique pink hues in fall – great for cutting, fresh or dried. Unlike other Hydrangeas, these bloom on new wood so can be pruned anytime. Morning sun, well-drained soil with consistent moisture; also good in containers.
Dwarf version of the popular 'Limelight' panicle hydrangea

By: Nasketucket Gardens

A new dwarf form of the ever popular 'Limelight' hydrangea, Little Lime sports the same great flowers and coloration as 'Limelight' but in a smaller package. At one third the size of traditional hardy hydrangeas, this new variety fits well into any landscape. Summer flowers open soft green and turn pink and burgundy in fall. Features: Dwarf hydrangea produces green summer flowers that turn pink in fall. Dwarf 'Limelight'. Blooms every year. Hardy. Tips and Uses: Excellent for the mixed border or foundation plantings. This compact, hardy hydrangea fits easily into smaller landscapes. Plant Care: Adaptable, but prefers good loamy soil. Prune back late winter/early spring. Apply controlled release fertilizer in spring.
Finally, a true dwarf paniculata. Ta Da! Close your eyes and image the Limelight hydrangea put in the clothes dryer accidentally set on heat. Yes, that's what those breeders have done (but really not in the dryer). With a very compact habit and blooms of lime green, everyone will want one for their patio. Dark green leaves are crowded on each strong stem. Blooms form in July and stay lime green in most envronments. Just like big sister, blooms age green with hins of pink and red. I was skeptical about a dwarf paniculata but I love it.
This new PeeGee Hydrangea has all of the great qualities of the ever popular Limelight on a dwarf compact plant that lends itself to a spot in anyone's garden. Pure white conical flower clusters mature to lime-green and finally to pink, green, and are often touched with burgundy. A Proven Winners? selection. Photo courtesy of Proven Winners - www.provenwinners.com. PeeGee or Panicle Hydrangeas will do well in almost any well-drained garden soil but will beneft from a good quality mulch and from the addition of humus in poor soils. They seem to be adaptable as far as pH is concerned and are considered by many to be salt tolerant. The PeeGee Hydrangea flowers on new growth and so can be pruned in winter or early spring and can even be cut back to within 6" of the ground annually. Average moisture is best.
a.k.a. Hydrangea paniculata 'Jane'. A more compact form of Hydrangea paniculata ''Limelight', with very green bossy flower heads beginning in July and carrying on through the fall. Blossoms turn rosy pink shades in the fall. Use as a container subject (hardy to -40F) or in the garden. Grows 3-4' tall and wide. Blooms on new wood, so you're guaranteed flowers. 1 gallon pots
