To most people the best fragrance of any shrub. The small purple and white flowers appear in February - April and the scent can be noticed 20 feet away. Makes an evergreen shrub with golden margins on the foliage. Can be kept in a large container.
Fine evergreen shrub to 3’ tall spreading to 4’ wide with glossy leaves edged in shimmering gold…intoxicatingly fragrant late winter>early spring cream flowers opening from clusters of rose buds. Prefers well drained acid soil with plenty of organic matter, regular water and morning sun. This shrub welcomes spring with its perfume!
The Wonderful Pineberry is a type of strawberry known for its unique white skin and red seeds making the fruit more invisible to birds and pets that are typically attracted to red strawberries. Similar to a strawberry, they have the same planting and caring needs, but the hints of pineapple taste gives this plant it's name.
This variegated version of winter daphne blooms in February and March with purple buds opening to white, lusciously fragrant flowers. Plant in part sun/part shade with morning or late afternoon sun (protect it from the hottest sun of the day) in rich, well-drained soil. Winter daphne should offer just the lift you need to get you through the end of winter and into the excitement of spring. Do not move after planting as the roots are sensitive to disturbance.
Very fragrant dark pink flowers spring, semi evergreen. Good drainage, all parts are poisonous Zones 7-9.
Has leaves with creamy irregular margins and red-purple edged flowers with paler centers. Another very fragrant form growing into a fine spreading specimen.
