Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Pink buds open white. An exceptional heavy flowering yakushimanum. This is the new name of the former F.C.C. form. Rarely available.
These are small plants, but are so rarely offered it’s worth the price. In the late 60’s an Oregon nursery listed 6” x 6” for $125.00, This may be the most beautiful of all the rhododendrons we grow. Our plant is now 4’ x 5’ after about 50 years. The foliage is truly stunning. The leaves have lovely tan tomentum during the early summer. The deep green leaves have beautiful indumentum under the leaf. Flowers are apple blossom pink. Only 8 plants available. (F.C.C.)
Pink fading to white.
The new name of the F.C.C. form. It is certainly one of the best forms and one that should be in your collection. This exceptional plant flowers heavily. This is pink budded and white flowered.
