This is a deciduous plant with medium, obovate, elliptic, or oblong lanceolate leaves. The shiny foliage is smooth and green on top, waxy smooth underneath. The white or blush pink flowers, sometimes reddish with a yellow blotch, are tubular, funnel-shaped, up to 2½" wide, and are held in trusses of 3-6. Nicely fragrant. (PE, pe, Pentathera)
