Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The flowers aren't the only showy part of this plant, the new foliage emerges from buds white and fuzzy, as in the best yakushimanums this wears away to an olive green and the indumentum below ages tan. The flowers on this mounded plant are red to plum with a white blotch on the dorsal lobe. As the flowers age the centers fade to creamy white. Swen is sweet! (degronianum ssp. yakushimanum x 'Mars')
