Introduced by the Landauers of Forest Grove, Oregon, it has huge satin purple flowers. The black-velvet blotch on the upper petal is so showy it practically jumps off the plant. Each flower petal in the round trusses folds back, showing those delightful deep blotches. The foliage is medium matte green and leathery textured, making a well clothed plant of good habit. It may be hardier than rated.
