This new hop cultivar was developed for commercial brewers by Oregon State University; it has high yield potential and high alpha-acid content. S/M
Brewer's variety of the hop vine which is known for its high alpha and beta acids content. Vine has medium green foliage and long golden flower cones produced in mid-August. Growth Rate fast
A fast-growing and hardy perennial vine, Hops have light golden, cone-shaped flowers used for making beer. The beautiful vine grows up to 25' in a single season and dies-back to the crown each fall. The vine and fragrant flowers make a sensational statement in any landscape whether you use the hops to make beer or not. Grow on a fence, wall or trellis for support. Our Hops plants are strictly females so they produce the most flowers. Flowers begin to ripen mid-August to mid-September. 'Nugget' is a bittering hops that imparts bitterness to beer to balance the sweetness of the malt. Hops are also used in teas for insomnia.
Greenish yellow cone flowers smell like beer. Quick grower. Attracts butterflies. Good variety for beer making. Full sun. Ht. 15-30ft.
