Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Found this in a old garden in Washington…it was a big shrub and covered with blooms. The cuttings we planted in our garden are 4-6' high and wide and create some 'white wedding drama' when they bloom in May – June (nice for the vase!). Pretty arching form makes it a natural fit between substantial evergreen shrubs in the garden. Outstanding deciduous shrub (red to apricot fall color) for a lightly shaded spot in good soil with regular water.
Dense twiggy shrubs, 2 two 4 feet tall and wide. Flowers are small, produced in massive numbers in short racemes in the spring, almost totally covering the plant in mid spring for a spectacular if somewhat short-lived display. Zone 4.
Small size, graceful growth habit, and profuse white flowers put this deutzia at the top of our list. Grows 4-5? in ten years. Adaptable to a wide variety of garden conditions. Awards: Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. Recommended by: the Garden Clubs of America.

Graceful, compact, spreading, shrub covered with showy white flowers in spring. Bright green leaves turn an excellent burgundy in the Fall. Best use is in a shrub border. Profuse white spring flowers in erect clusters (which are often used for forcing) Needs Sun or very light shade. Japanese Native.

Slender deutzia is a graceful, free-flowering form with deep green leaves and perfect, pure white flowers. It likes full sun to light shade. Usually only grows to 2-4' but can reach 6'. Good in large borders.
