Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Coastal Redwood cultivar with small textured, steely blue foliage, bluer even than the blue cultvar 'Glauca' , becoming more powdery blue with age. Slow growing and very slow to develop and upright leader -- hence the prostrate appearance. Can be kept quite low, by pruning out any serious upright that appears, or allowed to become a stylish tree, very slow growing - say 6' in 10 years. Sun to part shade. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
