A great cut flower and showy!! in border or container, this non-aggressive, clump-former produces its BRIGHT orange-red-eyed flowers on 8-18" stems mid-to-late summer. S/M/GDr PPAF
This is a DWARF variety that is especially floriferous... 20” stems are topped with fiery orange blooms with crimson red centers July > September; flowers are more flat an open than the more tubular ones of the species. The deer and rabbits ignore it, but this baby draws a crowd of hummers! Full sun, decent soil drainage, some summerwater. Great cut flower and brilliant late season color!
This cute little crocosmia is perfect for small gardens or the front of the border. Orange flowers with red eyes mid to late summer on 18-20 inch stems. Dark green linear, lance-shaped leaves. Clumping. Popular with hummingbirds.
From breeder David Tristam, a lovely selection with brilliant orange flowers with scarlet red eyes in spray-like clusters that sparkle in mid summer into fall just when other plants are packing it in. A new cultivar, with green sword-like leaves to 20" tall and major floriferousness. (Yes, that is an actual word). Likes fertile soil in sun to part shade. Good drainage, of course. Clusters can be divided for more. Winter deciduous. Hardy to 0F. USDA zone 7.
Vibrant orange flowers with a deeper red-orange eye on 2' stems. An electric color combination. PPAF
