This Spiraea is a small, clean, compact mound with new red leaves. It has clusters of small pink flowers that contrast great with the bright golden mature leaves.

This colorful spirea that makes a nice low hedge. In our spring garden, it's coral-red leaf buds appear in April, echoing the buds of a nearby 'Katsura'' Japanese Maple. Rose-pink flowers follow. Cut back in early spring to keep compact at 18".
A low-growing spirea with inspiring foliage, chartreuse through summer but with rusty red new growth in spring and clusters of rose-pink flowers in late spring. To only 2-3' tall x 2' wide, these create a color contrast or accent in the garden. Can be used in floral arrangements as well. Sun to part shade in any soil with average summer water. Can be cut back to 6" in late winter to maintain density and shape. Frost hardy to -30 °F, USDA zone 4.
