Native to Kalimantan (Southern Borneo) at 1800m/6000ft. As the species name suggests, this plant has white flowers and rugose leaves. Collected in southern Kalimantan (Borneo) by George Argent from the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh. The very distinctive, shiny, bullated leaves on this upright growing plant make it stand out from the vireya species. It is a terrestrial plant with tubular flowers and a wide flaring corolla, six to ten per truss, fragrant and very special. Although it may grow three meters (9/10 ft) in the wild, our main plant has never reached four feet in height.
