Velvety dark green leaves on maroon herbaceous stem. Produces salvia-like blue flowers that covers a good part of the shrub from spring through summer. Cascading growth habit. Avoid overly direct mid-day sunlight, will cause leaf scorch.
Streptocarpus or commonly called Cape Primrose has long thick straplike leaves, somewhat hairy, best displayed as a hanging specimen or on a stand,giving the fleshy leaves room to cascade. Trumpet like flowers on nodding wiry stems have attractive flecks. Likes bright indirect light and warmth. Given the right environment, Cape Primrose can bloom year round
An extremely floriferous plant producing small outward facing violet-blue flowers that are held above the foliage on dainty stems throughout the year. This African Violet cousin is very easy to grow and does great on a windowsill. The trailing to mounding habit lends itself to containers such as hanging baskets. Item # 9331.
