Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A great foliage Astilbe with dark burgundy foliage especially when grown in sun (with good moisture). Add to this shimmering carmine-pink flowers on a profusion of flowering stems more numerous than most other cultivars. 'Key West' also blooms twice in a season: once in summer and once late in the season. At only 20 inches this cultivar is great for pots and near the front of the border. Shade to part sun.
A selected seedling from the dwarf classic 'Sprite', This was selected for that good burnished bronzey red new growth which matures to green but still retains memories of its youthful coloration. The flowers, and there are lots of them, are a good pink opening from carmine buds. Moist. PPAF
