Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The flowers of this dazzler are orange-red on the outside and brilliant carmine (bluer-red) on the insides... varying and changing colors of red; this 24 incher will bloom and bloom during late summer. S/M-D (can spread)
Dainty sprays of carmine colored flowers are a pleasing counterpoint to upright green foliage and bronzy green stems. A red-streaked yellow throat centers the open, pale tomato red face, while the outside of the petal is flushed with a richer red. The real jewel of ‘Carmine Brilliant’s crown, however, may be the stunning flower buds, which have a mustard colored band, a deep brick red tip and crimson-purple calyxes. Blooms August–September.
Need a red alternative to 'Lucifer'? Well try this Award of Garden Merit winner on for size. This is more restrained than Lucifer yet quite vigorous and densely clumping. This has more flared open flowers on shorter stems that are not quite as red but darn pleasing.
