Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This Agave is similar to A. parryi, but has thinner leaves which are often more numerous, and, I think, better teeth. Esteemed as one of the very hardiest Agaves, this species is known to endure temperatures down to -20 °F if it is not too wet. This collection is from a mountainside east of Alamogordo, New Mexico, at 5,000' near the northern end of its natural range. These plants had exceptionally attractive teeth. Solitary rosettes.
