Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Hardiest form of species. Grey leaves with silvery-white margins make this Agave very attractive. I wonder if it is not grown more because the name is so, well, uncreative! This collection is very different from my collection last year southwest of Borrego Springs. It comes from 4,300' in the San Jacinto Mountains, which is as high as I am aware that it grows. The plants were much more robust than those found in the Borrego area, growing to 3 - 4' wide, and no two were alike. Some were very open, and some formed tight mounds of many rosettes. You are sure to get something interesting! It should be hardy to around 0 - 5 °F, perhaps even lower in very dry climates. Limited supply. DS.
