Nursery contributed plant descriptions

These plants should be very similar to their parent, ‘Calistoga’ which is known & grown for its broad, grey leaves, low form, & boldly colored carmine flowers. Fabulously hummingbird attracting, & requiring very minimal water, this groundcovering perennial prefers loose drainage, but adapts easily to CLAY SOIL. Plants do tend to flower & perform better if provided with occasional Summer water. “California Fuchsias” look bedraggled, occasionally, but light shearing, or hard pruning in late Fall, will rejuvenate growth. Rich or poor soil works fine.
