Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Not just pink, not just super double, but PINK, SUPER DOUBLE, & FRINGED. This is the pink marabou poodle of our poppy collection – a flower that will really indulge your girly side. Put your poppies in the ground as early as you can – as soon as the ground is workable, or if you live somewhere mild, you can even start them in the Fall! This, combined with rich soil, will yield poppies of monstrous size. Like, 4’ tall, & up to 3’ wide with 5” blooms. Yowza! This one does need a bit of staking (those huge blooms get heavy) so be prepared. If planted later, they will still grow, but their potential for traffic-stopping is diminished. Reseeds! Poppy Fans - As cool season growers, Papavers should be planted only when extreme heat or extreme cold is not anticipated! Due to Agricultural Restrictions we cannot ship this plant to West Virginia.
