Nursery contributed plant descriptions

We’re all in agreement on this one – this pretty purple petticoat of a poppy is smashing! Frilly & fringed semi-double lilac flowers with a darker center are held on long stems above grey-green foliage. Outer petals keep their cupped shape & cradle the inner petals, making for an excellent flower form. Poppies like rich soil, a sunny position, & to be planted during the cool season (Fall though early Spring)! Those of you in colder zones should plant after your last frost, but here in the temperate Bay Area you can also plant in the Fall, for twice as many flowers in the Spring! Due to Agricultural Restrictions we cannot ship this plant to West Virginia.
