Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Here’s an unusual color for our hybrid Poppies. This vibrant single orange Poppy is a great addition to the early Spring garden. Produces lots of 4” blooms over a longer-than-normal-poppy-season. Resembles the orange of Iceland poppies but is much taller & more robust. Each bloom is quite elegant on its long blue-green stem. These orange poppies would look luscious combined with purples like Collinsia heterophylla “Chinese Houses” or Geranium pyrenaicum ‘Bill Wallis.’ Reseeds for future years of pleasure. Poppies like rich soil so amend the ground in & around the planting hole or plant in a large pot with good potting soil. Compost makes them happy! Gets to be about 3’ tall & 1.5' to 2’ wide. Due to Agricultural Restrictions we cannot ship this plant to West Virginia.
