Nursery contributed plant descriptions

(Red Fox) has deep purple new growth in the spring. Our plant holds the color until July. The rest of the summer it is deep green. In fall, C. 'Rotfuchs' turns glorious yellow and pink.
Red spring growth mellows to rich purple before turning a dark purple-green in summer and changing again to a warm reddish-yellow in autumn, cotton-candy-scented foliage adds another dimenson to this fine medium (to 60') shade tree. S/M
Burgundy-red leaves emerge in the spring, fading to a beautiful blue-green color by summer. Fall transforms the heart-shaped leaves to a magnificent yellow-orange color.
New spring growth is a fetching deep wine-red on leaves of heavy substance, later becoming green, then bluish in later summer, then gold, red, and orange in fall. Slower growing than other cultivars, eventually reaching 20' tall, but in the long term slow will be a good thing.
You may have noticed that many of the katsuras come out pinkish in the spring; this one comes out burgundy and holds the color until summer; pest free and hardy, close to perfect. zone 4
Heart-shaped deep maroon leaves fade to dark green. Yellow-red fall, with scent of burnt sugar. USDA zones 4 to 8.
The foliage on this slightly more compact form of Katsura Tree emerges a reddish bronze, taking on green tones in summer and orange and yellow shades in fall. It has only recently become available in the trade, so mature height and width is yet to be determined. Projections are that it will reach heights of 20-25' and slightly larger widths at maturity. 1-2' plants for spring shipping.
An excellent, new, small, columnar variety to about 18' tall was hybridized in Germany. (We are finding that others have listed the height as anywhere from 10 to 60' . We are using the information from one of Europes largest nurseries. We will see.) New foliage is a rare, 'foxy', red-brown. Consistently beautiful fall foliage.
