Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This rare Twinspur distinguishes itself from other Diascias by having both a more elongated flower with (indeed!) upturned spurs, & a single, cyclopean yellow “eye”. Hailing from high altitudes, it’s hardy to USDA Zone 7, & like the species we’re more familiar with, is a lovely, long flowering compact (1’x1’) perennial that provides long lasting color (pink!) throughout the year, & is great for edging, pots & rock gardens. When it looks bedraggled simply cut it back to the base, & give it some food & it’ll spring right back.
