Nursery contributed plant descriptions

To 6.5’ tall, this rare high elevation S. African Dierama is Zone 7 so all of you Zone 7’ers who’ve coveted this graceful beauty for your own garden can now grow it! Yay! A very tall variety, it bears rich magenta to deep purple 2” pendulous, funnel-shaped flowers in late Spring to mid-Summer. Held on very long stems, the blooms bob & dance with the slightest breeze. Sturdy, upright, grass-like foliage makes an attractive clump when not in bloom, too! Super EASY to grow – just give Dieramas full sun (uncrowded by nearby plants), rich well-drained soil & average water. Excellent in a large container, too!
