Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Slow growing, clump forming perennial from S. Africa; slender grass-like foliage to 2’ high & wide; arching flower stems like thin wire (hence the name ‘Angel’s Fishing Rod’) to 3’ with dangling pink to coral-pink bells mid summer. Well drained, humusy, moist soil in full sun; some drought when established; deer resistant.
Flared bells in variable shades of salmon-red are produced extravagantly on wiry 3' stems on this lovely and unusual S. African perennial, in fact they blooms are so plentiful they bend over and look much just like a fishing rod with a big catch! Grassy clumps of foliage are the base for these blooms to stand on. S/M-W
Adorned with dainty, wide-flaring lilac to rosy pink flowers, this vigorous Dierama has a smaller stature than Dierama pulcherrimum. Found in the open grasslands of South Africa, Dierama igneum entertains a wealth of pendulous blooms that cast a lighthearted charm wherever they unfurl.
Excellent short species with flared, dark pink flowers and short stature. One of the cold hardiest; should be more common.
Sultry, terracotta pink, 1.5" long pendulous blooms adorn graceful, arching 3' long stems in mid-Summer. The long, slender, grass-like foliage grows densely to about 2' tall & wide & is evergreen in mild Winter areas. Beautiful atop a wall, used in a hedge or spilling out of a container. Dieramas?do?like some Summer water, but once established they can do without. Disturb the corms as?little?as possible, as they are sensitive to this & avoid heavy, wet soils. To maintain, remove old growth & bloomed out stems as necessary.
Infrequently encountered species of Fairy Wand Flower, these are from wild collected seed from South Africa. Wide flares of bell-shaped flowers in rosy pink to lilac. I personally am hoping for lilac as we have the pink well represented. Either color is quite showy. Mulch if real cold.
Lilac to pink flowers that tend to be more open at the tips. Clumping perennial 3' x 3'
