Sized between regular lilac and dwarf, with a bloom time between them also, this elegant medium shrub produces its panicles of lavender flowers in early summer. S/M
Miss Kim Lilac has foliage that is burgundy in fall. One of the most beloved lilacs in the world, this compact lilac blooms later than others with deep purple buds that open to fragrant lavender blue flowers. Miss Kim Lilac attracts birds and butterflies. This bush is deer resistant and needs very little pruning.
Compact, deciduous shrub 4-6’ tall and wide with lavender to ice blue, fragrant flower spikes in May; blooms on last year’s wood so prune only once immediately following flowering. Sun for best flowering, good air circulation, prefers rich, moist soil (but takes some drought once established). Especially good selection for the south. Mildew and deer resistant.
A dwarf form that usually grows to 5 or 6 feet tall and 3 or 4 feet wide, 'Miss Kim' features lavender buds that open to display ice-blue petals. The unopened buds and fully developed flowers have very different colors and so this lilac variety displays two distinct flower colors at the same time. While the plant is blooming its sweet fragrant drifts across even medium and large landscapes and is one of the best smelling plants in the spring.
Deciduous. Fragrant lavender flowers appear in mid to late spring. Green foliage turns to an attractive burgundy color before falling to the ground in autumn. Growth Rate medium
Zones: 3-8. Beautiful flowers and fabulous fragrance keep Miss Kim in our garden. Leaves are a bit large (3 inches) for small-scale use; we planted her on the edge of our Garden Railroad where we have to lean over and inhale her intoxicating perfume. For us she has stayed at just under 4 feet; growers notes say 4-5 feet with age, which is very small for a lilac. Blooms later in spring than her taller cousins. A must have if you love lilacs and fragrance in the garden. LiveScale©Choice-Dwarf. Shipping size: 6-10 inches.
Few purple flowers have so inspired people as to lend their name to a particular tint: heliotrope, lavender, violet and of course lilac. With a charming floral display that bridges the gap between spring and summer, 'Miss Kim' flaunts a profusion of powerfully scented pinkish purple blooms that fade to light pink and then to white. Autumn finds the handsome foliage emblazoned by stunning shades of burgundy and red. Plant in well drained soil and maintain a pleasing shape by pruning between December and February.
Large clusters of lavender-pink buds open to light pink and mature to white. A very strongly fragranced Lilac. A compact and dense deciduous shrub. One of the few Lilacs which will do well in the humid south. Excellent yellow fall color in northern latitudes and has good resistance to powdery mildew.
Light Lavender flower clusters appear in spring and are wonderfully fragrant. Good shrub border or untrimmed hedge plant. Requires little maintenance. WE ALWAYS SELL OUT OF THIS PLANT at the retail store when it's in bloom! One of the EASIEST to grow. Mildew is not a problems with this one. Fast growing.

Fragrant lavender-blue flowers spring, fall purplish. Prune after bloom. Disease resistant. Zones 4-8
Originating in Korea, this rare lilac grows only 5' high and 5' across. One of the "ten favorite uncommon" lilac varieties as determined by John H. Alexander III. You'll delight at the very fragrant single blossoms which appear a deep purple in bud and mature to an unusual icy blue. Blooming later in the spring than S. vulgaris, 'Miss Kim' will give you fragrance when other lilacs are finished. In fall you will enjoy the wine red foliage. Easy to grow!
