Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This is a very rarely offered dwarf and alpine mountain ash from the high mountains of southwestern China where it grows alongside Rhododendron species such as forrestii and saluenense . This deciduous shrub reaches only ten or twelve inches in height and slowly creeps by underground stems to form a sparse groundcover. The sharply toothed leaflets are glossy and become reddish in the autumn. White flowers followed by pink fruit. Very choice – our first offering.
Five foot tall suckering shrub with rich red fall color. Its only drawback is that it can be slower than one would like. White flowers and white fruit.
