Triangular-leaved clovers that are green with a purple center, and adorned with dainty pink flowers starting in Spring. Grows best in partial shade conditions, and is deer resistant.
Apple green shamrock foliage with a burgundy marking across the center of all the leaves, resembling a cross...sort of. Perennial clumps 6-8” tall and 8” wide – stays put, NOT invasive! Part sun to light shade is best for the rose carmine flowers that can happen from late spring to fall. Enjoys average garden soil with regular moisture – tubers are edible but we have not taste tested them! USDA Z8
Zn 8 Pink FlowersClover like leaves/brown blotch.
This four-leaf clover relative looks like an oversized version of the lucky type you might find on the edge of your lawn except that each leaf is marked with a deep purple splotch. Cluster the four leaves per stem together and the splotches form a colorful circle. Iron Cross is proof positive that plants with non-stop jazzy foliage can rival those with the occasional bright flower. Easy, dramatic and infinitely mixable.

The large green shamrock-like leaves have bases of dark purple-red that are held tightly together to form a purple cross. In summer the clumps are topped with 12 inch flower stalks with lovely carmine red flowers. Good in the garden (provide well-drained soil in raised beds) but better in pots where they can be overwintered in a cool garage or other protected and drier location. A favourite plant since Victorian times when it was first introduced to European gardening.
